Welcome to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. One of the first universities in North America. Founded in one building by Benjamin Franklin and others in 1751, and today located on 299 acres in the neighborhood of West Philadelphia. We will see some of the architecturally important buildings housing the schools of business, astronomy, nanotechnology, and engineering to name a few. We will see dormitories, restaurants, shops and beautifully maintained grounds. I will give information about Philadelphia, including a very brief history, its present-day transportation services, weather, and safety. As I walk, I invite questions and welcome comments.
